I remember an article donkeys years ago in AT by the sea correspondent with a name like Fletcher. This article was about strange happenings whilst sea fishing.
He swore that whilst out in his dingy in the mist off the south coast a sea serpent reared up several feed out of the water nearby. Oar fish perhaps?
I don't think they were known about then?
