Having seen alot of hype of Zigging etc for this time of year in various magazines.

As these zig bugs are a sight fake/bait.

So as most of the waters around nearby are coloured all year round.

Would these still work even using bright colours or should traditional smelly baits be used instead.

thanks

The big benefit of zigging is that you put something in the fishes way, and they mouth it rather than swim round it. So, you could use pretty much anything, and it will work as well as anything else. Saying that, i cant help but feel that something that smells like food, will be even more effective than something that doesnt. Most zigging is done with a bit of plain foam, and thats it.

The lake I usually fish is coloured and I'm having good results on zigs so not sure that the colour of the water is as important as we think. I'm using a trimmed down cell pop up which has been glugged so there will be some attraction in the water but not much
