What a good idea.

In some ways however a shame that they both couldn't have waited until the end of the Close Season so as to faciltate the offer on the rivers . . . . . .

Notwithstanding, still not a wholly bad idea.

How do you know what waters are available, I have had a proper man look at the web site and I can't see nothing nowhere now how.

You can take a friend to ANY fishery but in respect of the free day tickets and offers if you go to the website indicated and hover over the 'Free Vouchers' tab a drop down box will appear. Simply click on 'Day Ticket Offers' for the listings.

Yes its a great idea from The Angling Trades and one I have been supporting for years. With the rise in popularity for barbel fishing, coupled with the fact that a lot of anglers know very little about the species or indeed how to fish rivers effectively, I have served as a "free" guide for many anglers in the past.

I whole heartedly support this initiative.

Regards,

Lee.
