Which lure rod?

Looking to upgrade for mainly river fishing around £100 - £150 ish , any info or advice would be great. Loads of rods about but so many to choose from.

Ideally 8ft ish, between 5 and 35 g's.

Have looked at stradic, graphite leader, sakura, gravell but only on line. Want a relatively faster action really if possible

If anyone has any feedback on rids in this price it would be muchly appreciated.

Might be worth looking at a Greys GRXI, a bit longer but very capable.

Don't know if it fits the bill, but I've got a Drennan series7 8ft 1.75tc spinflex I'm not using any more. Kinda fallen out with lure fishing.
Hoping to sell it to part fund another carp rod.

I recommend the Drennan E-sox piker lure rods, like all Drennan products they are well designed. There's a lighter version as well, the spinflex.

Drennan also do a cheaper spinning rod in the Series 7 range.

Ive just bought a drennan E-sox piker lure rod, very happy with it and under 100 quid.

Sounds like the drennan rods are popular! might be a bit heavy for me though, will check one out though before buy anything

Harris Sportsmail do the Drennan E-SOX and Greys Rods, brilliant company (I have used them for years) fantastic prices and superb service

The drennan rods are cracking for the money mate

PS: the Drennan Spinflex are very good
