zigs...

okay so I've heard recently that zigging is one of the top methods in the spring and I really want to give it a go but I do not understand it at all. I see that people use "zig bugs" but then you can dig rig boilies? It would be appreciated if someone could give me a detailed explanation or direct me on the right way of a detailed explanation.
