hi i was at this lake the weekend same swim had 3cats and two carp in 36hours which was quite expensive,bit annoying about the tight swims with people pushing past bangin your rods but overall a very nice lake and well worth another visit,,

Glad you had a good time and even better as you had your 1st cat, they dont half hang on. I had my 1st in July this year and since then I`m catfish mad. Much luck for the future J.Tight lines

This lake has changed a bit since I fished it as a kid in the early 60s. We used to push in through the barbed wire fence at the back and catch rudd and perch.

Does anyone know anything about the nearby pond we used to know as 'Woods Pond'. We used to catch loads of Crucians there. It had very few carp so any Crucians are probably pure fish.

barry i heard about woodys lake sposed to be all big carp,
