Potato in general - Indigestible to fish ??

I am going to a fishery in the midlands and knowing alot of waters in this area Do Not Allow pellets.

So as Bob Nudd suggested on a TV programme with the late Kev Green to use Potato as a pellet.

So I contacted the fishery I'm visiting to check about using potato as a pellet bait.

I've been asked not use it as; 'they consider this as undigestable to fish'. Yet I can use a normal pellet of any kind as long as it's a hookable pellet.

Weird !!!

Par boiled tatties are a good bait, raw carrot too! both can be shaped, dyed, flavoured and hooked.

I have caught chub on chips before now.
