Had a robin come and perch in 30-inch-wide circular planter in which I was putting 5 "bush" tomato seedlings twenty minutes ago, only to look me straight in the eye (arrogant sod, couldn't understand a thing he cheeped), lift a tiny worm that had survived a winter in some old compost in a 3-gallon bucket that I had included in the big mix, then flew off with it. I'm sending the cats round; you can't trust the boys nowadays.
What have we ruddy come to ... a new public enemy every week if not every day....
