Mackerel at Milford on sea/Hurst?

Just wondered really, has anyone caught any Mackerel in this area yet this year?

I fancy a quick ride to the seaside with the family and a spot of Mackerel fishing for a couple of hours in the evening and Milford is about as close as the sea gets to here.

Maks starting to show in worthwile numbers on Chesil if that helps

Yeah Cheers mate, I have a week down at Chesil booked at the end of June, which is when i seem to catch most. Hopefully have a go for some bigger fish too whilst I am there.

I am near Oxford though and Milford is better for a day out as it is a straight run down from here. Chesil is harder to get to as the roads are not as good.

No Mackies in the Solent as yet...

By mid June probably off most beaches especially on an evening mid to high and esp if its been calm.

Hurst can be good for a few silvers on the flood, early mornings best ;)
