Just to update I mailed Leeda and have received no response, since 11th April.
My Specialist, that i gave some credit to in my spoof article, broke clean through at about three inches above the first butt ring.
Service??

Fred,

If you are after a new section for a rod I'm afraid you will probably have to go through a dealer. I've broken top sections for two rods in the last few months (never broken on before in 25 years of fishing!) and the manufacturers in one case (Middy) never replied and the other (Drennan) were very polite but I had to buy one through a dealer. For Leeda, Bennetts of Sheffield (www.bosfish.co.uk) should be worth a go.

Your rod should be repairable. (Here I go, doing things on the cheap yet again). Seriously though, you should be able to get hold of a piece of blank the correct size at each end. It might not be perfect, and of course it lets Leeda off the hook - but it's better than nothing.
