Hi all, I have just restarted fishing after a break of some 25 years. It's all very different. I grew up in the midlands fishing the Trent, Severn and canals mainly. I now live in north east london.
The fishing scene is very different now, dominated by carp. Lots of 'big' carp pools and even matches (I used to do a bit of match fishing) heavily weighted to carp - matches won with 400lb astonishing!!
My question is this; where does one fine good silver fish waters - ideally day ticket to start - around london? Google gives me carp ponds by the dozen but little else. I have redbridge lakes next to me and they are very good, but I'd be grateful for any other suggestions.
Great forum, very helpful in explaining things to someone restarting on the scene, keep up the good work!
