This book is now available from Medlar Press at £25.
John Goddard is one of the most influential fly fishers and entomologists of our time. His books and articles covering the insects that trout eat were groundbreaking and informative.
I met John very briefly in 1976 whilst he was paying South Africa a visit. He spent more time hunting waterbourne bugs with a little net than he did fishing. He declared that much of the entomology of Southern African freshwaters was virtually the same as the waters of Britain.
I am looking forward to receiving my copy of this book. I will do a review in due course.
It should be good.
