A pike bit my boilie off whilst reeling in, I thought I'd snagged on something but then it moved off before the hooklength parted.
20 minutes later reeling in to re-cast again I saw the pike (around 5lbs) sitting in a foot and a half of water right in front of me.
He wasn't phased at all by me standing 3 feet away reeling in over his head, eventually I gave him a gentle prod with my landing net handle and he swam off. I didn't want him snapping at any fish I may catch.
I'll be back as soon as possible with my lure rod /forum/smilies/smile_smiley.gif
