Hi

Just bought one of these from my local carboot at the weekend. It came with a total of six tips but im not sure what size each one is. The tip colour seems to get longer and i was wondering if that had anything to do with the strenght? Please see picture below. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks Dave.

Can't answer you exactly but a good trick is to hold them all by the tip (at the same time). The stiffer tips (i.e. higher weight tips) will not bend as much as the softer ones. You won't get the exact figures but you'll be able to make a judgement and jot down your findings.

The Daiwa is a nice rod. I have one but have replaced most of the original tips with Drennan's (which fit, Shimano ones don't) so I can't really help with the colours.

Now I think about it I don't think Daiwa applied weights like Drennan do (which are printed on the tips). This means that using the above mechanism is as good as anything else.
