Mate,i know it sounds terrible but a few waters without the chance of carp would be pleasure,a lake I fish has 4-5 40lb carp,several 30's,20's and doubles,depending on time of year,because loads of people know about them people who fish for the tench(which are up to doubles themselves)in daylight,cant get on because of bivvie parties from Friday to sunday,ive been twice now at 4.30am and cant get a swim and its a big lake.I imagine these lakes you talk of are commercial fisheries,what will the owners do with them now?
