I would like to say as a member of salford freindly anglers im proud of what has been achieved over the near 30 years iv been fishing this river even catching my pb chub of 5lb as pictured on here somewere i think

From an open sewer that flowed all colours to holding .ot only roach perch chub and gudgeon but also a bell kf a lpt of trout both brown and rainbows with a massive 13lb brownie coming out last season but also loach and barbel
Domt get me wrong the barbel are sparsley stocked but woth the continuing work by all the members and theres a long way to go things can only get better

Hearty congratulations to Salford Friendly Anglers Society and the nomination from the Wild Trout Trust which pointed the way to them winning this prestigious award. I'm a big fan of WTT having seen the great work they do first hand. Plus I once won second prize in a WTT raffle at a Game Fair once for a days dry fly fishing which was rather spiffing.
