pellet waggler or peacock

hi all i am going fishing tomorrow and have been challenged by my gobby brother in law, so need a bit of advise if poss. im going to a busy commercial fishery and will probably fish my usual system close to the reeds, 14ft deep so i am not sure wether the pellet waggler is any different to the ordinary peacock wag as i want encourage carp but not frighten off the larger roach, the lake consists o tench, roach, rudd and carp. i will be fishing 6mm pellet to aviod nuisance small fish. some reply would be a great help.
