Hi all,

Just joined as I'm looking for some advice. I've been fishing the Trent for the past few years and fancy a change to a smaller venue, does any no what the fishing rights are for the Derwent down at little Eaton island and just off Raynes way near Rolls Royce?

Hi Karl,

Welcome to FM.

I can't be much help on the stretch you are talking about but if you have your own transport and you're prepared to travel another 15 - 20 minutes the Matlock AA book is a good one to have with fishing from (IIRC) Matlock Bath up to Darley Dale.

Some great grayling fishing and barbel had also established themselves in numbers in the upper reaches, a fair head of roach and chub too if you can get beyond the brownies.

Often tricky with the fast flow and very rocky river bed but the rewards are there and often right under the rod tip.
