Hi, there's 3 small pits to chose from. They all have island features and vary in depth. The pegs on the first lake by the carpark are fished most so see a lot of bait. Lots of quality roach in all 3 lakes plus skimmers and big perch. The carp are very cute in all 3 lakes and tricky to catch. Method feeders are banned as is groundbait, so best tactic for them is a pellet feeder tight to the islands or tight down the edge. Pellet waggler fished shallow also works some days.
There's a lot of banned baits and methods which are strictly enforced, so read the sign outside the cafe. The staff are very helpful if you ask questions.
Definitely worth a visit but can be busy weekends, Sundays, matches are held on the 3rd lake so that is usually closed to day ticket anglers.

Just to add to the above, the more anglers on the lake the tighter you will generally need to be to the islands to catch the carp
Pellet waggler if its calm, set at about 15-18" deep to begin with, feed 8 mil pellet and fish a banded one on the hook. You can get though a lot of feed, but if there's any tow to speak of you are probably better off on pellet feeder.
Huge head of roach there as well and lake 3 holds some bigger bream among the skimmers.

Wider areas generally the best, you can reach the island with long pole in places but these aren't usually the better swims.
