i watched a dvd with jamie masson and andy kinder at larford lakes, both anglers use there knowledgeto demonstrate different ways to catch a bumper catch of carp and tench.i thought there was a certen weigh you could only put in your keepnet, after 5 hours of fishing, jamie masson had 160lb and andy had 116lb in there keepnets.it took 3 of the team to lift james net out of the water, what about the fish on the bottom,it must haved stress them to bits.i thought two extremely good fisher men would have know better.just thought i would pass it on,your views

Usual rule is do not put fish in a keep net over 2lb.

Some keepnets are larger and aimed at the comercial carp men and fish up to 5lb can be kept.

Some places ask for two keepnets, one for silver fish and one for carp.

Some places limit the weight of fish to be kept in a keepnet, ie. 50lb of fish.

Commonscence should prevail.

Some places ban keepnets.
