Hello all,

I've just booked a ferry to Roslarre for a few days drivingaround south Ireland, towards the end of this month, with my good lady wife. I think the intention is to drive to Cork, though we haven't really made any plans.

Does anyone know of any decent places to fish over there. I'll only belet loose for short amounts of time so it will need to be something quick and easy. The last timeI was there was as a kid in the 70s and I remember being left on the banks of the Blackwater at Cappoquin catching roach and trout. Not sure if that is where we will be going but it is in the general direction.

Any ideas?

Try Inniscarra resevoir near Cork, stuffed with good Skimmers. Ideally fish near or around thebridge at Coachford. Most methods work well, hemp isgood to take (i used the tinned stuff for ease of storing) and maggot can be bought near the garden centre.
