I got an Abu 30" specialist folding landing net last month and last night discovered that the mice completely destroyed the mesh.I see a lot of spare carp mesh for sale but cant find any mesh in the 30-32"(or thereabouts)size.Anyone know if its available?I would see it as extremely wasteful if I had to bin the new frame.

Would suggest initially you contact Abu Garcia, explain the problem, you never know, customer service and all that.

Just stop being tight, throw the frame away, buy a new net,and keep it in a sealed eva net bag/stink bag, away from the mice!!

Tight? No,but I aint stupid either.Im sorry I dont conform to the throwaway culture that the marketing people have worked so hard at creating. If I can get a replacement mesh for a few quid and save 15 quid or so I think thats doing my wallet, and equally as important, the environment a favour. If something can be mended I will give it a go.

Why dont you shear a sheep then, yarn the wool and knit a new one then, that would be good for the environment!! :Dand you,ll save £15

I've never seen replacement meshes available for any type of net other than the carp type (spreader block and arms). Of that type, I don't recall seeing a replacement mesh of less than 32".

32" would do Sam,where are they?

The one I'd seen was from the Fox Barbel net. It looks distinctly like it's unavailable in any shop that Google can find. Might be worth a call to Fox, but be prepared for the mesh to cost more than replacing your whole net.

There are a few alternatives to be found, including smaller ones. However, some would involve buying mesh complete with arms.

Good grief. You can do better than that. Also like peter crabtree,a refresher course in basic grammar for you is recommended.
