It varies. Some clubs/syndicates run year to year. Others run from season to season. It often depends on when they pay their rents.

My local coarse fishing ones used to be June 16th to March 14th, then some changed to 1st Jan to 31st December, now some are 12 months renewal from when you join. The permit should tell you when it's valid.

Depends on the Club/Association/Syndicate rules - my local club is 1Jan-31Dec, other clubs I have been a member of have been 1st March-endFeb.
Check the permit - it will usually have an "expires" date on it.
Many clubs used to start their new permits from the AGM date.
Tight Lines!

thanks for reply's , I've never held a book for this river (north level main drain) run by tydd goat angling club .
think the way to go is to go to a tackle shop that sells the book and have a look.
it'd make sense if they ran for a year from date of purchase .

just thought they would all run the same .

thanks to all who replied.
