pop-up rigs

Morning all,

I was wondering what length hook length you all use for pop-ups?

Or would it vary according to the venue and the conditions (depth and water temperature)

How long's a piece of string, anything from 2" stiff rigs to 10'+ zig rigs.
Your average pop-up rig that you are probably thinking about is 3"-9"..

Seriously, your running before you can walk.
You must learn the basics before going complicated.
Forget leaders, lead core, pop ups.

Get a float rod, learn that. Plumbing the depth and then where to fish in the swim and why. Then progress to ledgering.
Then move onto carp and all its technicalities.

No offence, but is inexperienced people like you that tie a choddy wrong which leaves a fish tethered Until it dies
