License confusion

First time I have purchased an license in twenty five years!! Wasn't it the local water authority that used to issue licenses?

Anyway, licenses run from March 31st to April 1st. So if I was to buy an annual license now, would I only get two or three weeks of use before it expires?

I'd rather not have to pay for another annual license in a few weeks, yet I am itching to get out there fishing.

Can someone clarify?

Thanks.

Unfortunately that's right,
Would be a waste of money buying one now, Befor the first of April .
You can buy weekly and possibly still get daily ones to see you through till April

Just had a look on post office site, You can get either a one day licence, Or an eight day one.
Hope this helps.

You can buy next season's licence now via the Post Office or the Post Office website. I renewed my pair last week. Leave it much longer and it's likely that you'll get caught up in the annual cock up that occurrs when loads of people buy or renew. It usually goes haywire from around the 20th of March until mid April. My advice would be to get in early or leave it for a while. I've always managed to avoid the problem period with this policy.

Yes, I have renewed mine as well. As Sam says, don't wait for the rush.

Stu

I get mine automatically in the post via a direct debit. They even knew when I had reached the age to obtain a concession.
