lake of the dead

Well we set off early at the crack of dawn, there was mist over the lake, it was serene, then the sun came out and it was a beautiful day. except.................................... no fish! 7 other people turned up during the day to fish, so different set ups and baits etc, and no one caught a thing, not even a bite. By 5.30pm i had lost the will to live and so came home. It was eirily quiet, no fish rolling in the sunshine, no jumping and not even a bubble. I think it has been netted. or something has ate them all.

Oh ! thats a shame reminds me of the time i took an old boy to a lake where i had caught a lot of chub,it took about an hour to realise it was lifeless confirmed by passing trent anglers who informed us it had been drainedand all the fish were now in the adjacent river .

Thats what happens when you fish Redmire Pool so serves you right!!!
