I'm sure I saw a documentary where the us army are already using them as pack horses meaning soldiers are arriving on the battlefield fresher and better supplied than ever.
Its all clever stuff and if it means the ied intended for the flesh and blood patrol gets detonated or detected by the robotic point man it has to be a good thing.
