Hi all.

I have only been into fishing for 2 seasons at the age of 51. Never been fishing before. One of the things I am really annoyed at is Fishing Clothing Sizes.

I am one of the larger anglers at 5'10" and 21 stone (ok don't laugh). On the bank i see others of a similar size and bigger and they have decent fishing clothing.

However when looking online, most of the clothing i find is XXL (2XL) with a rare XXXL (3XL). When i buy XXXL (3XL) it turns out to be a very small 3XL.

I've been looking at Thesus Bib n Brace but its a Toasty and its XXXXL (4XL) a bit too warm i think.

So anyone any ideas where a fat git can get some decent clothing from?

I'm looking for Bib n Brace, matching Jacket, Hoody, Gilet/vest with loads of pockets and overtrousers.

You're not far from Climax at Chesterfield/Dronfield Tony, I've seen some very big sizes in there and they always seem to have plenty in and would likely be able to order your size if you see something good that doesn't quite fit.

Failing that I would try and trace back to the manufacturers/distributers websites to see if they do a size guide, many of the top names such as Sundridge & Trakker do.

@binka

Many thanks. I have contacted the likes of Preston/Korum, Daiwa. Fishing Republic is just around the corner so tried a few items on there. Will have a ride out one day and look at Climax.

Much of the problem is getting the darn things to go over my belly :D and fasten. As many a blobendale will tell you, it doesn't want to become a straight jacket :)

Slightly expanding on the OP - I have size 12 hooves and have had problems getting warm winter fishing socks - the traditional fishermans socks usually only go to size 11, then shrink when washed! :eek:
I was delighted to find that the local Decathlon store stocked suitable socks in sizes larger than 12 - the only prob is that I've worn through one pair already!
They seemed to do quite a large range of 'sports' clothing in generous sizes - may be worth having a look on their website - they have a 'click&collect' service for ordering goods on-line then picking them up in-store.

There
Try the Halkon Hunt website. They make to order.
Although their order form only goes to XXL they may do a made to measure.
