I really dont like this picture - surely an angler would treat their catch with more respect than this?

Makes you want to weep-and dead right, these people are not anglers and do our sport much harm.Even the pink cloth looks dry..................

Unfortunately the fishing papers are full of similar pictures(not necessarily the odd specimen fish held up for a pic)but some matchmen who just have to have a photograph of themselves holding a keepnet crammed full of fish and they with a silly grin....how pathetic...no wonder some fish I catch look like they've been run over....

And then these same people will beasking why fish the become diseased and manky and in generally poor condition.

How many times have I seen bags of good roach tipped into the weigh bag then tippedback into the riverwithout a thought......Ive lost count!

I once watched an angler tip 60lb of bream out of two nets in front of an audience, take pictures, and then search through them looking for the biggest-time taken?-best part of 10mins!!!!

I should have kicked him into the river but then thats assault...................

it's a wind up post - check the name of the album. although if they were going on the bbq, doesn't really matter how they were laying on the ground!

as for the pink towel.......

I saw - poacher 101.

I dont know whether this is a wind up or not but if a non-angler or an anti saw these on our sites they'd use it as ammo against use for cruelty to fish. If no-one speaks up & says i disagree with this, wind up or not, then other people may think its acceptable & imitate it on the bank.

I suspect that whilst they may not generally care -as with many things -however a "skilled" PR manipulator from an organisation wishing to cast angling in a less than positive light may well find this useful.
