I could have sworn I'd answered this already. It took a while to figure out and find it on another forum. Here it is again.
I bought my nephew a ten foot Forcemaster Commercial Float rod. He's still at the stage where anything that pulls back a bit scares him rigid. That generally means that the rod spends most of its life bit bashing. It's perfectly adept at doing so. Despite the image that the name conjures, it's not a poker. It's nowhere near being a small carp rod. It's just a short float rod with more of a through action than a "proper" match float rod.
