Started fishing again last year after about ten years but didn't get out much. Plan on going a lot more this year and hopefully want to catch my first proper Barbel (from a river not one of these commercials that have appeared over the years). Also going to be taking my 9 and 11 year old boys out with me. :)

At long last a Lanky Lad to help offset the growing number of Tykes invading the FM forum! ;)

At Preston you shouldn't be too far from some Barbel!
There's some day-ticket water in the area but most is Club water with no day-tickets, e.g. Southport, Wigan, PAAS, etc.

Good look on the Barbel hunt! :cool:

Welcome mate, I think there's a few Ribble Heads on here. Hope it helps and you get that barbel. I did it last year courtesy of this site and it's just great.
