Hi folks, just after a bit of advice, if fishing for mainly bream in deep still water would you use a running rig or paternoster (Korum) and why? All comments gratefully received! Also when using the clip in deep water how can you reduce the falling arc of the feeder or is it better to not clip and feed a larger area and try to cast more accurately.
Thanks
Martin

Bit confused here Martin, if you clip up the falling arc ( which is negligible) makes no difference.. You do however need to hit the same spot so accurate casting helps. If you feed a larger area the fish could be anywhere rendering clipping up ineffective..

If the water is deep, maybe 20 foot plus and you use the clip does not the arc of the feeder increase and hence the feeder is effectively closer to you?. Maybe I'm just thick? How about feeding groundbait etc but not in the feeder and hitting the same spot as the feeder? Little confused with the matter?

Like I said the falling arc is negligible. Try casting a lead out on the clip and once it gets to the bottom and your line has sunk you'll find you'll need to wind back a lot of turns on your reel before the tension is enough to register on your tip.
if you still feel your terminal gear is falling short just unclip (once cast out) and let off a few feet of line then clip up again and recast...
