crabs phew!, wouldnt like them again,. never had so many baths in me life!

Looks to me like the crayfish will have the advantage if it stays out of the crab`s reach and uses the jab. If it moves inside though I can see the crab busting it up in a very dirty fight.

On a serious note though its all rather worrying. Maybe they should change the law so that anyone caught stealing fish should have a signal crayfish or a mitten crab attached to their danglies until they repent and promise not to do it again. Bagsy i`m not the one to attach it though /forum/smilies/wink_smiley.gif

i have heard of them being in the tidal thames,howver i fished at kew bridge last week and only saw our native mud crabs.i understand they are also present in other tidal rivers, i believe they can only breed in salty or brackish water so are unlikely to venture too far upstream,and they eat crayfish.

LOL, I`m ashamed to say the same thing. But I hadnt done anything deserving of their attentions I hasten to add. Nasty little buggers.
