Read Alan Yates and feel the salt spray on your face! How many freshwater men (and women) feel the urge to try their luck on the beach or on the rocks?

Sea fishing from the shore has long been a yearn of mine, I practice it every time I'm on holiday in Devon & Cornwall.

I once read an article about some large conger which were coming out of, iirc, the Dart estuary and some true monsters lurk in Falmouth harbour, I would fair fancy a stormy night on a cod beach somewhere too.

Definitely Welcome Back Alan.

I have always enjoyed reading your Sea Fishing articles even though it is not my particular chosen branch of the sport.

Always informative articles though.

I foresee a day when our shores will be very much busier than they are today.

I think I would agree with you on that Cliff.

Remember, one doesn't even need an EA license to fish in the sea . . . . .

I can remember back 30 years oir so when you could hardly getnear a pier on the south coast for anglers . . . . . .

I would NEVER buy a licence to fish in the sea, Peter, and I would hope nobody else would either!
