Hi all
Been popping in and reading for a couple of months though I'd sign up and say hello.
I got back into fishing again properly this year having had a break for years since I was a teenager.
I'm in Wiltshire and have a membership for South cerney angling club, I've fished quite a few of the waters and have had some fairly good catches this year. I've had loads of carp upto 14lb 10oz. Tench to 4lb bream, perch, roach and I went to Chippenham on the free stretch last Wednesday evening to see if I could bag my first barbel, sadly there were no whiskers in sight but I did catch my first ever chub which I estimate to be 2-3lb so I was chuffed. Had three in total and had a nice evening on the river doing some fishing in the dark.
Over the winter I'll be doing more river fishing and targeting the biggest perch I can find and maybe landing my first pike and hopefully a barbel.
The forum looks good and you all seem like a friendly lot. I'll hang around a while and pick up some tips.
