BBC2 Sunday 8.00pm - Earth's Wildest Waters: the Big Fish

I watched the first episode of the BBC's new competitive fishing programme last night. I thought it was good.

It's hard to make a programme that attracts both anglers and people who've never held a rod in their life. The BBC got the balance right - some good scenery in Iceland, large fish (cod and lake trout) to catch, and there were even a few diagrams of the kit the anglers were using.

It's like the Bake-off with fishing rods

I have just watched it on catch up. Not sure about it. Its probably OK for me when nothing else is on. I doubt it will be popular enough for a second series but what do I know...one of the most popular programmes seems to be watching people bake cakes!!!!!!!:wh
