Oh, for the time and money! I've dipped my toe into adventure fishing but not with an out-and-out angling company; I've been to various places with Explore Worldwide but I think they actually discourage fishing i.e. they never mention it in their brochures. Nonetheless, I've always gone with a rod and a few odds n sods to dabble in the Orinoco, the Mei Clong and other rivers with names I couldn't begin to remember. Waking up in a hammock and opening your eyes upon a different world cannot be described...only readers who have done it will understand: it really IS a different world. I had neither the time nor the expertise to tackle anything very exciting but a pirhana or two and a sighting of a freshwater dolphin in Venezuela were reward enough. Oh....and my 25lb wahoo off Roatan Island, Honduras.
