Great shame for the Forty foot. Wonderfull fen drain that I,ve fished for decades on and off. A big match venue in the sixties and long before.
What I found surprising was the writer says there as been no boat traffic for the last thirty eight years but Prior to that I never saw a boat.
Fished it last maybe five years back, lots of fish but not anymore according to my friend who has a caravan nearby.
re the crustaceon invaders a guy I know fished the Trent national a few weeks back and he says to get ready for the dreaded zebra muscle ----- bottom fishing will be a nightmare, maybe float fishing will make a big comeback??.
