What a cracking 'pike' and on Fly Tackle too. I'm not a pike angler and I don't fly fish either, but it looks like putting the two together has produced outstanding results. Well done. Good, interesting article as well by the way.

They have different scientific names so the scientists must be convinced that they are different species. Therefore, though I'm happy that they are both types of pike, they aren't the same. One is a Muskellunge (or any other of the names it gets called) the other a Northern Pike (or any other of the names it gets called).

Whilst there's no doubt that the are both types of pike, if they are both just pike, then a lion and tiger are just cats.
