Recreational (catch and return) bass fishing doesn't even begin to register as a threat to the species, does it? And even if a six month ban on such activity was agreed upon, how could it be enforced? 'Bold action' is, indeed, required, but we are talking 'nets' here, surely.
It was good to see Richard Littlejohn flagging-up this scandal in the Daily Mail just recently... a whole page article dedicated to the subject and nothing else.
