Holland And Wilkinson is a Dragoncarp brand. The landing net looks suspiciously like a copy of the Gardner Specialist Extending landing net. If it is anything like, it'll be OK. You might find that the locking mechanism makes it a little top heavy though.

I think Sam above was one of those who advised early this year on net handles as I bemoaned the fact that the screw mechanisms were constantly working loose and were generally unreliable ....to me a clumsy so and so....

I bit the bullet and lashed out more for a handle than I often pay for a rod!

I bought a Drennan carbon job that has been great so far. Very stiff and strong even at full extent. One quarter twist to lock it.

Recommend them. Cheers Sam.

The Drennan Super Specialist handles are the business. Shame I missed packing mine and reversed over it.:eek:mg: The 2-piece Pro Logic handle that replaced it (all I could afford at the time - half price special offer!) is surprisingly good; so good, in fact, that I didn't bother with another Drennan. It's slim, light and stiff at it's ten foot length and - once it dawned that it was far stronger than appearance would suggest - has taken quite some amount of serious abuse without blowing-up. Two thumbs up!
