I’m not ask any of you to give your secret river spots up … are there any river within 70 mile drive from Lincoln that hold grayling that I can do a bit of trotting ...

You are probably needing to go north onto the higher reaches of the Yorkshire rivers or west onto the upper Dove or Derwent valleys to stand a realistic chance of catching them. Grayling outside southwest of England Avon, Stour, Frome, etc are confined generally to the hillier areas and rivers the more north you get.
