My angling story began over forty years ago on the River Stour "Essex" , got into Carp fishing in the seventies and have fished club waters in Essex along with some Kent lakes up until the late eighties before family life took over !! .

I have dusted of the rods recently and fish again some local lakes for carp along with trips to River Wye with my son .

Looking forward to the chat and seeing whats new :)

Thank god for that The Crow !! I thought all my refrences to Centerpin reels , Cardinal 55's , monkey climbers and rolling your own baits would fall on deaf ears !!

Good to see another Essex boy on here. I have fond memories of the Essex Stour. Glemsford, Henny, Pitmore Lock etc were all old haunts of mine.

Greetings Pete

Lots and lots have changed mate, however much remains the same.

The mist still rises off the water in the early summer mornings

The robins still befriend us for a maggot or two on cold frosty days

Fishing is still as magic as ever :)
