Hi all,

I've been fishing for a few years now, and even after those 3 years, I'm still trying to get my head round the basics of angling. My particular angling passion at the moment is river fishing and in particular stick float fishing on rivers such as the Severn and Warwickshire Avon. I still haven't left school yet, so I'm incredibly lucky to have a great Dad who has fished these rivers all his life.
I'm still fairly inexperienced, so any advice on future posts would be great.

Welcome to the forum JimBob. I Look forward to reading your posts.

Most of us have been bought up fishing both rivers and stillwaters and have a wealth of info between us that you can tap if you need to.

Hi mate.

I may not be the greatest fisherman in the world but I can run a stick float down a river, particularly a large powerful one.

Any advice you need mate just ask, there's lots of good lads on here. In the last month since I've been on here I have not seen a nasty comment yet. So don't be scared to ask mate ;);)

Good luck son, nice to see a lad with a Dad who shows you the true path, welcome and enjoy your fishing for the rest of your days, its a great hobby.
