I've notice today that my 9 foot browning micro waggler has a cracked or split guide in the eye will it still be ok to use for roach and other small species ? I don't think the line actually hits the guide any help much appreciated it's the front of the eye that's split

Replace it if you can, if not, take it to someone who can do it for you.

It is not worth taking the risk. You may think the line is not going anywhere near the crack, but why risk it.

Best to be safe than sorry ;)

It should still be under warranty, no?

I concur; one way or t'other get it changed. If you don't want to go to the trouble of sending it away, then your local tackle dealer may be able to pop a new inner ring in for you - I had one done on a Wychwood carp rod, FOC.

Likewise with the two above I certainly wouldn't risk it myself.

Imagine how you'd feel if you lost a really good Roach due to the damaged ring?
