Are you allowed to fish here then?

I was fishing at Hemlington lake, clad in the ubiquitous DPM camo trousers, when a small male human of maybe 5 or 6 years - having studied me for a bit with a fair amount of apparent suspicion - said, "Mister, are you a real soldier?" . "Mate" said I, "I don't think I'm a real anything." He backed off slowly with a WTF look on his face, while his dad, bringing up the rear, gave out a knowing chuckle.
