Just an odd story, many years ago and I cannot remember when I was fishing with a mate on the river; it was a bright sunny day and we were not getting any bites. We knew an eclipse was due and when it happened the sky went almost completely dark. Suddenly all the birds started to gather and fly off. It appeared they thought it was dusk and they were gathering to fly off to their roosting quarters. When it passed, they all looked a bit confused. During this spell me and my mate started to get some bites and a few fish, just a couple of roach if I remember rightly but you sensed the change and then it went back again to zilch..
