Its great to see that Anglers are clamouring for a place in the Monaghan Pairs for 2009 and its great to see that the average weight was 36lb per man per day but don't forget that not all the weights came from Muckno. One of the best sections of the whole festival was on Lough Ross, a venue only included because some sections on Muckno were flooded. Most of theAnglers in the festival had never heard of Lough Ross before including Kevin Ashurst , but by the time they left on the Friday mostof them would never forget it or its Roach which average8 to 12 oz

Hi all,

Hopefully some of the Irish festival regulars will take the opportunity to have alook at these threads.

The reason for this post is to inform Anglers that the 2009 Gowna Festival is now sold out, with all 128 places taken. A waiting list has been started and currently has 4 names on it. Unfortunately we will not be extending the numbers beyond 128 as the management of a festival this size is already an onerous task! Hopefully, though, the results for the last 4 or 5 years speak for themselves and will encourage anglers to keep supporting what is now considered to be a major event.
