My second hand seat box came with a shoulder strap captivated between the two canvas side handles. I found it very awkward to carry using the shoulder strap. When carrying it with the side handles the strap just got in the way. I decided to remove it and refurbish the fixings while I was about it, you can see the result HERE. Do you use the shoulder strap on your box? and was the strap trapped between the canvas handles on my Preston X3 box originally or was this a modification? It seems a bit odd that the only way to remove the strap is by removing the side handles which, on my box have one rivet and one machine screw and nut, to fix them - was that how it was when new, seems a bit strange to me?
