Hello,
I want to know loads with what weight(in grams) I can cast with carp rod with t-curve 2,5lb for example. Is this true:1lb t-curve=1ounce(28gr)cast load?
Thank you in advance!

erm, for a 2.5 tc i'd say 3.5oz is your limit, all depends on how far your chuck is...

ps, god knows what that is in grams. i think it's 454g in a lb so divide that by 16 to get weight in g for an ounze - you do the maths!

Hi Antoni,
I would go with the 1oz per 1lb tc, so on the outside I would use 3oz max on a 2.5lb tc rod (remember if you use pva bags of feed or a meathod feeder you'll need to use a lighter weight on the rig.

Hope this helps.

It also depends on the action of the rod as well as the build quality and the reliability of the manufacturer.

I agree with pat,To discover the maximum casting weight divide the figure by 16,to discover the line must suited to the rod multiply the rating by 6 rod.
Thus giving you the following
Casting weight=2.5ozs
Line B.s =15lb
You can use this formula on most rods once you know the test curve.
